Anglican Care to sell empty aged care home in Bulahdelah, NSW, at "well below replacement cost": Colliers

Anglican Care, an agency of the Anglican Diocese of Newcastle, has put its former 40-bed Cedar Wharf Lodge aged care home in Bulahdelah, 93km northeast of Newcastle, on the market.

The 2,834sqm building on 5,146sqm is for sale at "well below replacement cost" according to marketing material from agents Colliers.

"As part of its property management processes, Anglican Care has invited expressions of interest for the residential aged care facility site at Bulahdelah, which closed in May 2022," an Anglican Care spokesperson told The Weekly SOURCE.

Cedar Wharf Lodge opened in 1991 as Great Lakes Nursing Home, a community-owned business, with 57 beds. Newcastle-based Anglican Care took it over in 2017, and in May 2022 closed the home. The building was last modified in 2005.

Anglican Care operates nine aged care homes and six retirement villages in and around Newcastle.
