The dementia care provider founded by Tamar Krebs (pictured above) continues to be one of the sector’s innovators, introducing a new personalised short-stay dementia respite program, Respite Reimagined (R&R).
Unlike other respite programs, R&R will offer participants a personalised dementia care plan – regardless of the length of stay – and a free Demystifying Dementia half-day educational session for families and Support Partners.
The program is also flexible, enabling the person living with dementia to stay from as little as one day up to 21 days – prices range from $485 per day for a one-day stay to $800 per day for a Weekend Stay and $575 per day for a 21-day stay.
“R&R is a new way for people living with dementia and their Support Partners to pause, reset, and discover skills and tools to stay at home as long as possible. For Support Partners, they can set aside time to rest, revitalise and look after their own wellbeing,” said Tamar, who was the subject of the cover interview in SATURDAY magazine’s Issue 63 in October this year.
With more Australians living with dementia set to be supported at home in the coming years, the expansion appears well-timed.
Group Homes Australia is also currently looking to partner with retirement villages as it continues its expansion.
