Nick Stone has been appointed CEO of Bupa Asia Pacific (Bupa APAC), replacing Hisham El-Ansary, who stepped down from the role last year after 15 years with the group.
Nick has been Acting CEO, and prior to that was Chief Financial Officer of Bupa APAC, a private aged care operator with 59 aged care homes in Australia, caring for more than 5,000 residents.
Nick joined Bupa APAC in September 2018 as Group Financial Controller, becoming CFO in April 2019.
Before joining Bupa, Nick held senior roles with Medibank and homewares company Marlin Brands and spent a decade with Energy Australia. He has worked overseas in the UK and Kazakhstan in the oil and gas sector.
“Nick has shown strong leadership over the last few months, successfully guiding Bupa APAC through an important transition period,” Bupa Group CEO Iñaki Ereño said,
“Under Nick’s leadership, Bupa APAC has maintained its focus on serving our members, customers and residents, and I know he is deeply committed to growing our business in the region.”
