Mercer Super’s offering Care & Living with Mercer, a guidance and advice service for Australians’ ageing needs, has been recognised with the Innovator Award at the Super Review 10th annual Super Fund of the Year Awards 2023, judged by superannuation consultant SuperRatings.

“This is testament to the value of Care & Living with Mercer as a service that makes a difference to members’ lives,” Will Burkitt, Founder and Executive Leader, Care & Living with Mercer, told The SOURCE.

The independent online service, which takes no commissions, is distributed through super funds and employers including some of Australia’s largest organisations, such as Lendlease, KPMG, Rio Tino, Dell and Clayton Utz. It helps people with non-financial decisions, such as their aged care, retirement living, and home care options. Approximately one million Australians currently have access to Care & Living with Mercer.

The purpose of superannuation is currently under review by the Federal Government, with a draft objective requiring super to help people live longer and with dignity.

The Care & Living with Mercer product is in line with this proposal and is a leader in helping to bridge the important roles of both aged care and superannuation in the lives of Australians.
