Maggie Beer received $5M and will produce six new food videos

1 min read

As Labor promised in the 2022 Federal Election campaign, the Maggie Beer Foundation has been granted $5 million to develop training and education material promoting the importance of nutritious, delicious food in residential aged care.

In May 2023, the Foundation was awarded $5 million to deliver their program for aged care chefs and cooks, including six new videos, which will be available on the Foundation’s website for free later this year.

The modules will be developed with dietitians and other experts and will cover:

  • cooking techniques,
  • texture-modified food and presentation,
  • food culture,
  • improving dining experiences, and
  • maximising flavour.

The Maggie Beer Foundation has already developed 11 online training modules that are available for free on their website.
