Demand for luxury retirement living, despite a $4.4 million price tag for 3-bedroom penthouses, has seen Anglicare achieve 40% presales of residences at its Woolooware Shores’ new village extension titled The Waterfront in Taren Point, 20km south of Sydney’s CBD.
The Waterfront is 63 premium waterfront apartments across two buildings with open plan layouts, space for entertaining and sweeping water views.
Anglicare Development Manager Dean Cotter said the interest demonstrates a desire within the retirement sector for premium waterfront living.
“We’re extremely pleased with this high level of early commitment,” Mr Cotter said. “The Waterfront was designed to deliver the very best lifestyle to our residents; the pleasure and activities that come with waterfront living, and all of the amenities on site to provide for a social and active lifestyle.”
The builder is Growthbuilt; the development is due for completion in 2023.
Residents will also have access to a theatre, salon, gym, pool, spa, restaurants, café, library and chapel.
Woolooware Shores Retirement Village launched in 2006 and is currently home to 243 residents and has residential aged care homes Goodhew Gardens and Bay Breeze onsite for ‘ageing in place’.
Anglicare Retirement Living includes 24 villages in Sydney and the Illawarra.
