Building work has begun on The Waterfront at Anglicare’s Woolooware Shores Retirement Village in Taren Point, 20km south of Sydney’s CBD.
The Waterfront will have 63 premium waterfront apartments across two buildings with open plan layouts, space for entertaining and sweeping water views.
“The Waterfront has been designed to encapsulate the incredible water views, with the orientation of each apartment carefully placed to capture sweeping coastal views through to the city skyline” said Dean Cotter, Anglicare Development Manager.
Growthbuilt, working with Jackson Teece Architects, is set to complete The Waterfront in 2023.
Located on the former Toyota car factory at Taren Point, Woolooware Shores launched in 2006.
It is currently home to 243 residents, and has a residential aged care facility onsite for ‘ageing in place’.
Anglicare, which has 22 villages, is also putting its final touches to a second luxurious development, Gordon Quarter, which has sold 36 of 40 luxury retirement residences, which cost $1.6M+, in natural bushland in Gordon, 14km northwest of Sydney’s CBD.
The new, contemporary retirement community comes with a grand entry, elegant lounges, library and wine room. Outside, an alfresco terrace with barbecue area overlooks the pool and protected bushland.
It is scheduled to open next year.
