Anglicare tops out new 63-unit seventh stage at Taren Point NSW retirement village

Anglicare has topped out the seventh stage of its Woolooware Shores retirement village in Taren Point, Sydney, with 90% of apartments in the new stage already sold out.

Stage seven, which comprises 63 units in a mix of one, two and three bedrooms in two waterside buildings, is due for completion in the latter half of next year; prices in the new stage start at $1.8 million and go up to $3.6 million for a penthouse apartment.

According to Simon Miller, CEO of Anglicare Sydney (pictured), sales of the apartments at villages like Woolooware Shores go to fund the operator’s social and affordable housing projects.

To turn (Woolooware Shores) from an industrial site into what it is today is a wonderful thing,”
he told the St George and Sutherland Shire Leader.

“We provide housing right across the spectrum, starting with people who can’t afford to pay anything. We have built 600 social housing units over the past few years.”

Construction is set to begin next year on the eighth and final stage, comprising 78 apartments, which will be completed in 2025.
