Bolton Clarke’s Marcia Teevan has been awarded Queensland’s Retirement Village Manager of the Year at the Property Council of Australia’s National Retirement Living Awards.
Ms Teevan (left), a manager at Milford Grange Retirement Community in Ipswich, was described by Property Council executive director of retirement living Ben Myers as being “consistently willing to go above and beyond” to support residents as “a source of reassurance and practical help”, especially during COVID restrictions.
“Marcia’s deep commitment to her residents and refreshing approach, underpinned by her expertise in community care, have delivered innovative solutions to ensure residents have access to extra support when it's needed,” he said.
Kim Teudt, Bolton Clarke General Manager Retirement Living, hailed the win as an “awesome achievement” for Ms Teevan.
“This is testament to the dedication and care Marcia shows to Milford Grange residents and the community atmosphere that enhances their lifestyle choice,” she said.
According to Ms Teevan, she is both grateful and lucky to have been honoured at the awards.
“My amazing residents make it so easy for me to come to work every day. Their wisdom, knowledge and support fuel my passion to assist them to live a life of fulfilment,” she said.
The 2021 National Retirement Living Awards Gala Dinner will be held on the Gold Coast in June 2022, having been pushed back due to the coronavirus.
