As we reported here, Australia’s largest Not For Profit retirement living and aged care provider negotiated for a parcel of land in the $550 million master-planned Queen Street Village master planned residential precinct in Southport in January this year.
The vertical development will see 146 two and three-bedroom independent living units, 40 assisted living apartments and a 72-bed residential aged care facility built on the former Gold Coast Hospital site.
Residents will also have access to the Village precinct, which will include a cinema, IGA, pharmacy, medical centre, pathology and allied health services, a Mercure Hotel and a childcare centre.
Work on the two-year build is expected to start in late 2020.
