The WA-based Not For Profit has commenced construction of an innovative, multi-use campus with aged care beds in the inner Perth suburb of Inglewood, 5km northeast of the CBD.

The campus will feature 128 beds plus a dedicated research centre and a new corporate office.

Brightwater Care Group CEO, Jennifer Lawrence, said the plan is to break the aged care facility into small homes, with 16 residents in each.

“The residential aged care facility is designed on the small house model of care and has been designed the with client at the heart, catering to all care needs with a strong focus on being dementia friendly and facilitating independence and well-being,” she said.

The site is due to be completed in mid-2022.
