$180M over-50s lifestyle resort approved for Encounter Bay, south of Adelaide, SA

OceanView Lifestyle Resort will have 315 homes across 15.5ha in the bay, 85km south of Adelaide, South Australia. 

Developer Andy Ward told News Corp he couldn’t wait for construction to get underway. 

The development will use the land lease model. 

“The land-lease model offers a more accessible pathway to homeownership for many older Australians,” Andy said. 

“It allows people to own their home in a high-quality development while enjoying the benefits of the lifestyle facilities without the high cost of purchasing the land itself. 

“It’s a win-win for those looking to downsize and make the most of their retirement.” 

Construction has been earmarked to begin early next year.
