Calvary National Director of Strategy and Service Development Vanessa Janissen resigns after building 16 villages and Japara acquisition

1 min read

After four years at the Not For Profit Catholic health care organisation, Vanessa has resigned.

She started as NSW Regional CEO and then was appointed National Director of Strategy and Service Development in March 2020.

Over the past two years Calvary has emerged as one of the biggest national players with 16 retirement villages and 62 aged care homes.

Vanesa drove the Hyson Apartment village in Caufield as Calvary’s showcase integrated village

“I came to Calvary to expand my experience of the broader health system and having a pandemic land shortly after certainly sharpened the learning curve,” Vanessa said on LinkedIn.

“Thanks to Martin Bowles (National CE) who astutely pointed me at the future and gave us all the encouragement and permission to think big, back ourselves and push forward on our growth strategy. A stock exchange acquisition, pioneering virtual hospitals across the country, and just a few new capital builds isn’t a bad effort during a pandemic!

Vanessa was the cover story in issue 45 of SATURDAY.

The SOURCE: Vanessa will be sorely missed by everyone who has come into contact with her.
