DA lodged for 250-home Stockland Halcyon land lease resort in Yandina, QLD

The 20ha site will house two-bedroom manufactured homes with two parking spaces according to an impact-assessable development application to Sunshine Coast Council.

There would be both attached and detached homes with a minimum lot size of 175msq.

Almost 1ha would be used for leisure facilities designed to provide convenience and promote social interaction.

“The proposed development has been designed to create a unique, connected, liveable community for over-50s within the Yandina local area,” states a development assessment report by Project Urban, prepared on behalf of Stockland Land Lease Management Pty Ltd.

Indoor facilities would include a sales office, pool, and wellness centre, pickleball courts and clubhouse. RV and van storage are also proposed.

There are five Halcyon communities on the Sunshine Coast: Halcyon Parks at Caloundra, B by Halcyon at Buderim, Halcyon Nirimba and Halcyon Lakeside and Halcyon Landing at Bli Bli.

There are also plans lodged for Halcyon Blu, 450-500 homes, that will be double the size of its award-winning Halcyon Nirimba in Bells Creek.

Submissions on the development application can be made until 18 September.
