Palm Lake is the only operator prepared to invest in residential aged care beds for its ageing residents, recognising that the lifestyle offering will turn into a care value proposition over time, like retirement villages.
Palm Lake Group has seven sites where residential aged care is already co-located with one of its land lease resorts (Main Picture: Palm Lake Resort Toowoo

“More and more it is becoming important to residents of our resorts the safety net that the aged care provides them,” Palm Lake Care CEO Daniel Aitchison (pictured right) said.
“We do get different instances of a husband or wife moving into the aged care from the resort, and we also see a son or daughter in the resort with their mother or father in the aged care.”
He added that Palm Lake will not always build an aged care necessarily next to all its land lease communities but will be selective where it has the land and the business case stacks up.
“We won’t be building any aged cares that aren’t co-located with a LLC, we have a unique market offering that sets us apart.”
