Over 160 expressions of interest for Adrian Puljich’s first Aliria lifestyle community in Rockhampton, Qld

1 min read

The interest is almost three times the number of homes being built in the new $32 million over-50s community

Being developed on a 2.5ha site in Berserker, which was formerly home to WIN Television, Aliria on Dean is the first land lease community in the city in Central Queensland in more than 10 years.

Completion is anticipated in late 2025. Alongside its 57 duplex homes, priced from $585,000, Aliria on Dean will feature a suite of community facilities, including a clubhouse with resort-style pool and sundeck, fully equipped gym, hall and bar, pickleball court, barbeques, dog run and RV parking.

Former Rockhampton businessman Mark Bunt and his wife Susan (pictured below), who were among the first to buy in the community, said they were looking forward to downsizing from their family home, on 1,000sqm-plus land, in nearby Frenchville.

“We love the idea of the lock and leave lifestyle – the security of a gated community is a big plus. We have two grandkids we want to spend more time with, and to go on short and long trips,” Mark said.

“The site is barely 10 minutes to the Rockhampton CBD, shopping centre and airport, and only 30 minutes to the beach. It’s a great spot, just a stone’s throw from where we are now. It will be fantastic for Rockhampton.”

Aliria is Adrian Puljich's first venture on his own. He and Singapore investment corporation Thakral own GemLife and the Puljich family own Living Gems.

“We have been inundated with interest from the moment people heard about the new community, which is indicative of the strong demand – and shortage of supply – of this style of living in Rockhampton,” Adrian said.
