Just announced VIC and SA RV Act changes are making it mandatory for operators to ensure staff undergo training, as part of new codes of conduct, including training before staff start in SA.
In NSW, the training of staff has been a required responsibility of operators under the Rules of Conduct for a number of years.
The DCM institute, the fastest growing training program for Village Managers and HO staff, has just had more than 650 Village Professionals attend their annual VILLAGE SUMMIT event series across the country.
“All operators should ensure their staff are trained and developed,” said James Wiltshire, DCM Institute's Executive Director.

Village Managers, Sales Managers and head office staff turned up across five capital cities during the month of November, with the final event held in Sydney on Thursday.
The event was supported by more than 44 speakers, all of whom are sector experts in their own right and share DCM Institute's purpose of driving the level of professionalism across the sector.
Focusing on ongoing professional development, DCM Institute has grown to be Australia’s largest professional development program for Village and Community Managers and Head Office staff. An annual enrolment in the program blends three events per year in each capital city with its Knowledge Centre of learning modules, topics and resources.
