Residents move into Stage One of LDK Seniors Living’s third village Amberfield, Canberra, next Tuesday

1 min read

Offering its One Move promise, the pioneering business founded by Paul Browne is continuing to grow.

CEO Byron Cannon told The Weekly SOURCE the first residents will move into its third village, the $250 million Amberfield, in Weston, Canberra, on Tuesday, 1 October. It already owns and operates The Landings in North Turramurra, 20km northwest of Sydney's CBD, and Greenway Views, Tuggeranong, ACT.

"Stage 1 comprises 52 villas plus some communal spaces, bar, restaurant for those residents as well as work areas for staff," Byron said.

"Stage 2 is due around October next year and will comprise 127 units including our Care Hub and very generous communal areas including restaurants, cafés, bars, wellness centre, grocer, function area and more.

"We hope to commence construction for our final Super Stage of approximately 200 apartments (including our Sky Villas) in the second quarter of calendar year 2025. It should be completed by mid-2027."]

The growing reputation of LDK Seniors Living, which saw Anglicare Sydney CEO Simon Miller invest $20 million into the business, means Stage 1 is close to being sold out.

"The first 60 we released for Stage 2 have less than a handful left to sell. We will be releasing the balance of Stage 2 (except Care Hub apartments that we will sell closer to opening) in the next month. We are also planning an exclusive limited pre-release of our final Super Stage and Sky Villa apartments in the coming months. This super stage will have more amenities including pool and larger wellness centre, lounges for residents, sports bar and restaurant, private dining/wine cellar, as well as extra space for staff," added Byron.
