Stockland research shows 50% of its Halcyon residents move in from within 15km

Stockland has officially welcomed its first homeowners to Halcyon Vista, a boutique over 50s land lease community of 161 homes, in the semi-rural town, 43.5km south of Brisbane.

“We loved that it’s a smaller, boutique community – it felt more intimate and friendly than the larger communities we’d seen,” said Mark Rider, who with wife Jane, are among the first homeowners.

“We currently live about a 15-minute walk from Vista, in Logan Village, where we’ve been for over 10 years. Our life is here, so staying local was the most important thing to us. Downsizing gives us the freedom to travel, relax and make the most of this next phase of life.”

Stockland Halcyon Project Director, Glenn Nugent, said its research showing 50% of clients have come from within 15km reinforces the importance of offering a viable product where people can sell their home without disconnecting from their established way of life.

“Boutique land lease communities like Halcyon Vista are especially attractive to downsizers seeking comfort, security and social connection without moving far from the places, people and routines they already know and love. It was important to us that Halcyon Vista enabled the continuation of people’s lifestyles while providing plenty of space and facilities for people to relax,” Glenn said.

Communal facilities, including a proposed two-storey clubhouse with a heated pool, pickleball courts, a gym, lawn bowls, a library, cinema, arts and crafts room, function room, and bar, are expected to be complete in late 2026.

A limited-time $10,000 rebate is available on selected sites until 30 April.
