Sunshine Coast modular home builder Oly Homes will truck the two homes from its Toowoomba manufacturing site, and they will be habitable in the small town of 231 people in three months' time.
Queensland Government Premier Steven Miles’ Homes for Queenslanders plan includes delivering 53,500 more social homes, which would double the number available.
“One of our aims is to provide new housing and in particular ageing-in-place housing for Thallon to improve services and facilities for the benefit of the community,” said Thallon Community Services chair Bill Willis.
“This is a game changer for us, and we appreciate the Queensland Government’s financial contribution and guidance in this project,” Bill said.
