Why Aveo’s The George Retirement Living gets a visit from CEO Tony Randello

1 min read

The bayside village in Sandringham, 16km south of Melbourne’s CBD, where two-bedroom, two-bathroom homes are for sale for just shy of $1 million, has had its community centre transformed.

Aveo has invested $200M+ in recent village upgrades as its resident NPS hits a high of 57.

CEO Tony Randello joined the reopening party, saying “The George looks fantastic and has set a new standard of sophisticated retirement living on Melbourne’s bayside. We are thrilled residents can enjoy the state-of-the-art facilities that aim to foster wellbeing and social connections”.

The George’s revamped facilities include a restaurant, café, dining room, lounge area with cosy fireplace, theatrette, gym, library and salon.

Resident Mary Keogh moved to The George to be near family living in Sandringham just as the community centre’s renovations began late last year.

“I was fortunate enough to see the before and after. The new facilities are so beautiful and have exceeded all my expectations,’’ she said. “It feels like a five-star hotel with light-filled and tastefully decorated areas.”
