Advertisements, videos, lucrative referrals and opens days are used to try and attract new clients to retirement living.
Now the Retirement Living Council’s inaugural President and the longest serving CEO in the sector and his co-founder of Centennial Living have chosen a sensory attraction at Burnside Village in the suburb, 20km west of Melbourne’s CBD, on Friday.
The free chow mein luncheon is part of a series of monthly events in which residents are invited to bring their family and friends to the village’s community centre to enjoy company and food, and have the opportunity to see what the village has to offer.
“It’s an opportunity to get prospects in to rub shoulders with our community and get a feel for the place and the strong social fabric in our village,” sales manager Glenn Guilfoyle said.
“Then if they want to, we can take them for a look inside the display villa unit in the village … there’s no obligation, get involved with the fun on the day and enjoy some chow mein lunch as well.”
All attendees must pre-register to attend.
It is home to more than 300 residents and offers 216 villas, 24 apartments and 18 serviced apartments. There are four homes for sale at Burnside Village on villages.com.au.
