Tolucy Pty Ltd has filed an application to demolish a single-storey home to build a 94-bed aged care facility and 60 independent living units on the 19,536sqm site in Terrey Hills, 25km north of the CBD.
14 residents has already made submissions against the project, saying the three-storey development – which is above the two-storey height limit for the area – is out of character and will worsen traffic and parking shortages.
But the application says the development is in the public interest, providing housing for the area’s older population.
