“Unprecedented interest” in just opened Arcare Warners Bay, in NSW’s Lake Macquarie

Arcare Aged Care, which is owned by property developer Knowles Group, has officially opened its 106-bed Arcare Warners Bay.

The luxurious home, located 15km from the Newcastle CBD and 150km north of Sydney, features a boutique cafe, hair salon, activity rooms, private dining room, gym, movie theatre and worship room, lounge rooms, and manicured courtyard.

The home's rooms feature ensuites with showers, flat-screen TVs, outdoor access for the majority of suites, plenty of storage, and heating and cooling.

Refundable Accommodation Deposits start at $595,000 and go up to $1.2 million for 50sqm 'Premiere' suites, which feature large walk-in robes, additional storage, and expansive balconies overlooking the creek and nature reserve.

Arcare, which has 40 years' experience in the aged care sector, is slated to open its Gisborne residential aged care facility in Victoria's Macedon Ranges, 54km northwest of Melbourne, at the end of 2024, which will bring the provider's total number of homes to 53.

According to a spokesperson, there has been "unprecedented interest" in the home. "We are delighted by the positive reception from the community," they said.

Arcare plans to add an additional 1,530 beds to its offering over the next three years in Victoria, NSW and, for the first time, the ACT.
