32 one-bedroom units and 18 two-bedroom units, with sizes ranging from 47sqm to 77sqm, in a three-storey complex are proposed between the recently opened aged care facility and community housing buildings.
"A Development Application is currently out for community comment with the Shire of Capel. Bethanie hopes to bring much-needed affordable housing options for seniors into the region,” Bethanie Housing CEO Shane Ogilvie said.
Bethanie rebuilt its aged care home in Dalyellup, which is 11km south-southwest of Bunbury, last year.
Bethanie Housing is the fourth largest community housing provider in WA, managing 502 properties in Perth and the State's southwest, offering medium to larger complexes where support can be provided towards tenant initiatives, community activities and small businesses.
The Not For Profit owns and operates 10 retirement villages, 14 residential aged care homes, home care services and community housing in three locations.
