Ecove Group propose senior living within the 3 level podium below a further all age 22 levels

An Environmental Impact Statement by Ethos Urban for the proposed 348 home development in Rhodes, 12km west of Sydney's CBD, has been submitted as part of a State Significant Development. 

It is classified as a mixed-use development comprising seven lots and a total area of 5,608msq, with an approximate 130m frontage to Concord Road to the east and 113m frontage to Blaxland Road to the west. 

The proposal, won in a competition by architect BatesSmart and landscape architect Turf Design Studio, is for retail uses, a new fire station and landscaped public open space at the ground plane, seniors housing within the podium, and two 22- and 26-storey residential towers with 348 dwellings. 

The podium would have three levels with 30 Independent Living Units (12 one-bedroom, 12 two-bedroom and six three-bedroom) and a 93-bed residential care facility (31 beds on each floor). 

The development, which is now on exhibition, is one of 34 submitted as a State Significant Development.
