The 77-year-old former NSW Government Premier has purchased one of the 39 apartments, developed by Alceon Group in partnership with NGS Super, in the elegant eight-storey Community Apartments Project in the North Shore suburb of Greenwich, 7km from the CBD.

Nick, who was the Liberal Premier of NSW between 1988 and 1992, bought his apartment in Akoya, which was designed by architects Marchese Partners I Life 3A, off the plan. The site opened in July, offering equal or better facilities than an upmarket retirement village, including a rooftop infinity pool which has stunning city views.

Four apartments remain for sale. The complex also hosts several private offices which have been available on a separate title starting at $450,000.

Nick's purchase follows the sale of his apartment in Point Piper, the harbourside suburb 6km east of Sydney's CBD, for $14.5 million.One-third of the proceeds from the sale of the three-bedroom flat were split with his ex-wife Carolyn Fletcher.

Since leaving politics, Nick has most recently served as Federal President of the Liberal Party from 2017-2020. In February 2021, he became Consul-General for Australia in New York and the North-East United States.
