Infinite Care Knoxfield, the five-storey, 177-bed aged care home located 33km southeast of the Melbourne CBD, is taking shape, and with construction tracking well, is expected to begin taking admissions from late 2025.
Infinite Care, which has signed a 25-year lease with Australian Unity Healthcare Property Trust to operate the facility, expects to be admitting residents from late October/November, earlier than first expected.
The $3.7 billion Australian Unity Healthcare Property Trust purchased the site in July 2021 and will own the building.
The builder of the project is Infinity Constructions, the construction company that builds Infinite Care's aged care homes. Connect Project Management will oversee the project.
The greenfield project, on a 12,700sqm site, incorporates a "Street of Life" concept, designed to help provide residents with familiar surroundings with key features including spaces resembling small shops, cafés, a hair salon, a library, and movie theatre as well as a Club Lounge on the top floor.
Construction began in February 2024.
