Eight single-storey, two-bedroom units and 10 additional car parking spaces can be built on surplus land at the over 55s rental village in the city on the south-western coast of Victoria. 

Warrnambool City Council stated the approved will increase the availability of retirement type accommodation within the municipality providing increased options for older people to downsize which in turn increases the availability of larger homes within the supply pool.
