The community organisation based in Wollongong bought the site, known as Milton Meadows in 2021, with the Princes Highway land covering 15ha, approved 12 months earlier for seven buildings delivering 260 Independent Living Units and an 89 bed Aged Care Facility.
IRT have employed Brooks Community Engagement to determine the views of residents who live in the immediate area of a proposed roundabout and are reviewing a range of options with them for its construction.
A timeline for constructing the roundabout and associated retirement living and care services community is still to be determined.
IRT CEO Patrick Reid (pictured) has publicly stated his commitment to caring for all aged care residents at IRT Sarah Claydon, which was built in the 1980s, also in Milton, 222km south-southwest of Sydney.
