Australia’s largest residential aged care provider Opal HealthCare opens its 100th home

With the opening of its 148-bed Marsden Park Care Community, 50km northwest of Sydney's CBD, Opal HealthCare has reached an important milestone, and confirmed its position as the most ambitious player in the residential aged care sector.

The provider, which is jointly owned by global investment manager AMP Capital and Singaporean investment company G. K. Goh Holdings, is now Australia's largest residential aged care operator. Its homes span NSW, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, and South Australia.

In August, Opal HealthCare entered the South Australian market for the first time, with the acquisition of five aged care homes from Life Care in and around Adelaide.

Opal HealthCare has 17 care communities planned for development in metropolitan Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.

Opal HealthCare's design, development and construction partners on the Marsden Park project were Hindmarsh, Bloompark Pact, Custance Associates, Taylor Brammer Landscape Architects, and Martinique Design Studio.
