The Stage 2 building works of Resthaven's $30 million redevelopment of Resthaven Bellevue Heights in Mitcham, 7km south of the Adelaide CBD, included construction of residential rooms, a new lounge room, private dining area, library, and common dining area. There is also a new administration area and kitchenette, a meeting room, and offices.

Down the hall is a new 16-room memory support unit (MSU), incorporating MelaGen lighting technology, promote natural circadian rhythms to improve the wellbeing and sleep of residents. A new sunroom has also been added.

The redevelopment will provide vastly improved amenities for residents and replace 32 rooms constructed in the late 1970s. Consolidation of all accommodation under one roof will also make it easier for all residents to access new and improved communal areas and services.

With Stage 3 developments now underway, including demolition of external buildings and the construction of a new carpark, Resthaven has not considered increasing Refundable Accommodation Deposits for rooms at Resthaven Bellevue Height. Current RADs range from  $300,000 to $530,000 for a superior single room.
