RetireAustralia seeks final expansion of Carlyle Gardens in Bargara, QLD

Plans for 38 duplex-style dwellings have been lodged with Bundaberg Council to add to the 293 one-, two- and three-bedroom homes already at RetireAustralia's Carlyle Gardens in the coastal town of Bargara, 384km north of Brisbane's CBD.

The development application has been lodged by town planners Insite SJC, on behalf of RetireAustralia, with the duplexes designed by Bundaberg architect Tomas O'Malley.

There will 10 styles of homes available, with the single-storey homes featuring similar floor plans including patio space, outdoor areas, attached garages, and studies. Total floor area for the homes vary from 158sqm to 200sqm.

New residents which would reside in one of the new 19 buildings will have access to all the village's features including an existing community garden, RV parking facility and communal workshop.    

“Dwellings are designed with a contemporary coastal beach vernacular in mind and is sympathetic to the setting within the local context and Bargara more broadly,” the development application said.
