RSL LifeCare reduces expansion of Bullecourt Retirement Village in ACT

1 min read

The charitable organisation has resubmitted a smaller expansion of the village in Kaleen, a suburb in the Belconnen district of Canberra, after opposition to a previous proposal in 2022.

The new $35 million proposal reduces the building heights to two storeys from four stories and the number of dwellings to 83. The 2022 application planned for 93 units.

There will now be 11 two-storey townhouses along Warrego Crescent with two six storey blocks behind. The previous proposal reached the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal where residents and RSL Lifecare reached a mediated settlement, from which the new DA was born.

Comment on the new development application closes on 27 March.
