The property developer’s latest development is on one of the four parcels of land, all with development approvals, which came as part of the $210 million deal Stockland paid the Puljich family’s Living Gems in July 2023.
Stockland said at the time construction had commenced at three of the communities, and it expected that all five communities (the existing Living Gems Toowoomba lifestyle resort could be extended) would be in development within 12 months. Halcyon Dales is at Beerwah and Halcyon Edgeworth is at Eagleby Heights. On completion of the developments, Stockland’s land lease community portfolio would increase by approximately 1,280 home sites, the developer said at the time.
Stockland said its next community Halcyon Serrata, again guaranteeing new residents a nine-month build, would complement the success of Halcyon Promenade and be its third over 50s community in Moreton Bay, 50km north of Brisbane.
Set on a 12ha site in Burpengary East, with it’s own nature reserve, the resort-style Halcyon Serrata will deliver 250 low-maintenance homes designed to meet the needs of the increasing over 50s population. The announcement follows the launch of Halcyon Providence, its first over 50s community in Ipswich, which guarantees new residents a nine-month build. and the 212-home Halcyon Dales at the foot of the Glass House Mountains, Sunshine Coast.

Expressions of interest for Halcyon Serrata are open, with the first release of six sites scheduled for March 2025 and monthly releases thereafter. Construction of the first homes will also begin in March.
