VivaCity Property seek fourth land lease community: 254 homes in NSW Hunter Region

The $28.8 million Farley Lifestyle Resort project, which is for 254 manufactured homes on more than 30ha of rural land, has been lodged with the City of Maitland.

VivaCity Property is developing its first lifestyle community Tallowood in Medowie, Port Stephens, 181km northnortheast of Sydney’s CBD, and has started its second, the 220-home Stratford Gardens in Tahmoor, 97km southwest of Sydney’s CBD, with approval for a 190 manufactured homes community next to Valhalla Village in Chain Valley Bay, on the NSW Central Coast.

The company was founded by Managing Director Jonathon Steggles Mendez (pictured), who was in 2017 – 2018 Head of Acquisitions at Gateway Lifestyle, then the largest operator of land lease communities in Australia.

Farley Lifestyle Resort is being designed by Newcastle-based Perception Planning.

“The proposed development will contribute to affordable housing within the area, in particular the proposal will provide much needed housing to retirees, which is currently in short supply within the locality,” Perception Planning state.

“Will provide a diversity of uses within the site that will serve the housing needs of the community through provision of a variety of housing types and densities, which are affordable and low maintenance.”
