First look at RetireAustralia's new aged care hub at The Verge at Burleigh

It is the most talked about innovation in retirement living, Retire Australia's huge step into providing aged care for its residents in one of its villages.

The Care Hub at The Verge Retirement Village at Burleigh on the Gold Coast, which is officially opening next month, is being marketed as a genuine alternative.

"It is not a traditional nursing home and it’s nothing like a hospital. In fact, the first thing you’ll notice is how much it feels like home, which is no coincidence – we’ve very carefully designed it this way. During your time in the Care Hub you are assured of the highest quality of care from our qualified nurses and carers," state RetireAustralia

CEO, Dr Brett Robinson, wants his village residents to have the knowledge that they will die in place. The Care Hub is for a maximum of 10 people at a time.

The Care Suites features one-bedroom suites, with an ensuite and kitchenette. There is a shared residents’ kitchen and indoor and outdoor living areas.
