Exclusive: Chiou See Anderson sells her two retirement villages

1 min read

The 123-unit Elements @Springwood, in Queensland’s City of Logan, and the 45-unit Elements @Con Noi Carindale, 13km southeast of Brisbane's GPO, have a new owner.

Chiou See has told us the NSW-based Hunter Hotel Group has bought her two villages; they also own Laguna Estate Retirement Village in Noosa on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

“I have been in this business 21 years and I really want to spend some time helping my children to set up their own businesses,” Chiou See said.

“It was a hard decision. I have tried to stay away for now.

“My daughter and one of my sons manage the villages and we have agreed that will continue for the time being.”

Chiou See has also been Chair and an investor in retirement living and aged care technology platform Conpago since 2019.

“I am the only woman on the Conpago Board and I would like more women to join us - both on the board and on our technology development team.

"We have an agreement with Lumary, a leading care management software for disability and aged care, with over 200 providers and servicing over 300,000 care recipients, and we have  successfully implemented Conpago in all the Village Retirement Group's villages. BlueCare came on board last year and we are progressively rolling out Conpago across their portfolio," she said.
