The Not For Profit’s resort-style Woolooware Shores Retirement Village

opened in 2006 and last Wednesday, CEO Simon Miller was on hand with GrowthBuilt to break the ground to start on the eighth and final stage of the development at Taren Point, 20km south of Sydney’s CBD.

Scheduled for completion in 2025 – 19 years after Woolooware Shores Retirement Village opened – stage 8 will feature 78 apartments with uninterrupted views of Georges River. The project also includes a waterfront restaurant for new and existing residents and the wider community.

The start of Woolooware Shores RV’s Stage 8 comes six months after the topping out of stage 7 – 63 one, two and three bedroom units in two waterside buildings known as The Waterfront – which is set to open in mid-2023.

Woolooware Shores Retirement Village was officially handed over by GrowthBuilt to then-Anglicare Sydney CEO Grant Millard in July 2020.

When the Stage 8 is complete, Woolooware Shores Retirement Village will have 411 dwellings and 171 residential care rooms.
