Fresh Hope Care East Maitland to be reborn with 168-bed complex

1 min read

Not For Profit operator Fresh Hope Care, the NSW arm of Churches of Christ, is to completely rebuild its Green Hills Residential Care Service in East Maitland and increase it from 110 beds to 166 beds.

Lara Calder (pictured right), Managing Director of Calderflower Architecture, said the Fresh Hope Care East Maitland project features domestic scaled households of 15 and 16 beds that were designed to be “good to live in and good for staff to work in”.

Included in the 166 beds will be a 15-bed Memory Support unit and an eight-bed respite facility.

“This care home showcases best practice design for aged care with dementia support throughout and it will embrace a genuine connection with the wider community,” said Ms Calder.

The development application has been approved by Maitland City Council and the proposal is going to tender.
