The Not For Profit has commenced development at its Port Macquarie retirement village on the NSW Mid North Coast, with residents to be relocated to new apartments for up to 18 months.
The works will see Garden Village construct a new building, known as The Banksia, to serve as an extension to the existing community.
The Banksia will have 30 two-bedroom apartments, and five one-bedroom apartments.
Garden Village secured funding for the development through the Building Better Regions fund.
Federal Member for Cowper Pat Conaghan said: “This project will benefit retirees living at the village as well as provide procurement opportunities for local contractors and businesses.”
