ACCPA Conference clash sees FWC grant extension

1 min read

Australian Business Lawyers & Advisors has written to the Fair Work Commission (FWC) on behalf of the Aged & Community Care Providers Association (ACCPA) asking for a one-week extension for submissions to the Aged Care Work Value case due to an “unfortunate” clash with ACCPA’s National Conference, which is being held next week from 25-27 October 2023.

The FWC was asking for evidence in relation to Wage Adjustments and Classification and Allowance matters to be submitted by 27 October. However, the lawyers’ request was to have that deadline extended to 1 November.

On Friday, the FWC wrote to ACCPA, unions and the Government granting the extension.

The next Wage Adjustment hearing will be held on Monday 4 December. The Classification and Allowance hearings will be held the following week, from Monday 11 December 2023.

The SOURCE: The next stage of hearings is still set down for December, with a resolution to be delivered in 2024.
