1 min read

Estia Health will welcome the first residents to its newly built $47 million St Ives aged care home, 18km north of the Sydney city centre, on 11 December.

The 118-bed home, will have 18 memory support places, and an on-site community café and wellness centre.

It will provide tailored rehabilitation and reablement programs, delivering physiotherapy and other allied health services for residents and the local community.

Estia Health is also opening its newly built Aberglasslyn home, near Maitland NSW, in early December.

The ASX-listed provider has entered a Scheme Implementation Agreement with US-based Bain Capital, under which Bain will acquire all of Estia Health’s shares at $3.20 a share. Estia Health is recommending shareholders accept the offer at a Scheme Meeting to be held on 15 November 2023.

If the acquisition goes ahead, Regis will be Australia’s only remaining ASX-listed aged care provider.
