Michele Lewis is stepping down as Chief Executive of Victorian aged care provider mecwacare, after 17 years with the Not For Profit provider.
Under her leadership, mecwacare has expanded its presence in regional and metropolitan Victoria, recently announcing the imminent opening of its 18th home.
In July, mecwacare acquired Berwick Brae Village and Gregory Lodge from Royal Freemasons VIC. In April, it acquired Pascoe Vale Gardens Retirement Village in the northern suburbs of Melbourne.
Last week, more than 150 mecwacare staff members gathered to farewell Michele, who is the group’s longest-serving Chief Executive.
