Mergers & acquisitions
WA’s RAAFA acquires home care provider Perth Care and Companion Company

The Not For Profit operator is expanding its home care footprint with the purchase of Perth Care and Companion Company (PCCC), the first acquisition for CEO Michelle Fyfe who joined the organisation 12 months ago.

As part of the acquisition, PCCC’s services will become part of RAAFA’s Connect arm, which provides in-home support specialising in people with Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) and Veterans Home Care (VHC), as well as private services.

Michelle says the acquisition of PCCC is a natural extension for RAAFA, which has seven retirement villages, five aged care homes, veteran services and home care services and last month, opened Sir Valston Hancock House in South Perth to provide housing and supports for former servicemen and women.

“Whilst we’re asking older Australians to age in place, and we want them to remain in their homes, they can’t do that without assistance,” Michelle told The SOURCE.

“And whilst there’s assistance through Home Care Packages, there’s also other assistance that they require so this acquisition was about preparing ourselves for the future of ageing in Australia and ageing in the home.”

Established in 2019, PCCC provides long day, overnight and live-in care and has over 130 team members, serving more than 2,000 clients across metropolitan Perth.

Under the transition, PCCC co-founder Julie Arnould, a former nurse, will lead the PCCC arm at RAAFA.
