The land lease operator wants to add 47 home lots to an existing approval to expand its Freshwater community to an 11.5ha site at Burpengary East, north of Brisbane.
Freshwater originally was to span across five hectares with 131 new homes for people aged over 50. In March, Ingenia Lifestyle was given approval to build an additional 98 additional homes.
“The proposal is for another change application, to add an additional lot on to the approved extension of the original relocatable home park application,” stated Ingenia Lifestyle’s development assessment report to Moreton Bay Regional Council said.
If approved, it will increase the number of lots in the community to 276.
Freshwater is one of Ingenia Lifestyle’s five communities in Queensland. It has plans for two new communities in the state – Highworth, which it bought from Highgate Development’s Andrew and Jo Pitcher, on the Sunshine Coast, and Bargara, a 16.2ha greenfield development site it bought in May 2021, on the Fraser Coast.
