RAAFA WA open accommodation and much-needed assistance to veterans thanks to Hancock Prospecting

Sir Valston Hancock House in South Perth was officially opened with the WA Governor Chris Dawson and Darrilyn Dawson in attendance on Friday.

With generous support from Gina Rinehart AO and Hancock Prospecting, Sir Valston Hancock House is a joint initiative between the Australian Air Force Association, known as RAAFA, and RSL WA.

The refurbished facility will provide housing, as well as mental health supports, employment assistance and other wrap-around services for former servicemen and women as they transition out of the armed forces, and pays tribute to a former leader of the Royal Australian Air Force and Gina’s uncle, Sir Valston Hancock.
