Aged care facilities are underclaiming an average of $370K under AN-ACC

12 months into the new Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC) funding model, residential care operators are only claiming 65% of the maximum funding available to them – and mandatory care minutes may be to blame.

Some providers are admitting residents with lower care needs as they struggle with workforce shortages and compliance requirements – but this strategy is also leaving facilities underfunded and putting quality of care at risk.
