Out with the bowling greens, in with the lap pools

When other operators are going big, one land lease operator is experimenting with a smaller-scale – and lower cost – product.

When Lifestyle Communities began building 21 years ago, its communities ranged between 100 to 150 homes – today, it’s closer to 200 to 250 to cover the cost of its facilities.

Its latest clubhouse has topped out at $12 million – but offers a different range of amenities to appeal to its growing Gen X customer base.
