ANGLICARE SYDNEY: the Not For Profit successfully replicating LDK’s Village Membership model

The LDK membership model has proven that retirement villages can deliver care to their residents under the Retirement Village Act – and that older Australians will pay upfront for care and support. Now Anglicare is showing that this model can be retrofitted in existing villages to the benefit of residents and the operator.

Led by CEO Simon Miller (pictured above), their initiative could be the most important for the retirement village sector in the past 20 years if successful at scale.

The Not For Profit invested $20 million in a 50% stake in LDK Seniors’ Living in 2022 as part of a bold plan to learn from their private aged care strategy.

The Village Membership is a fixed lifetime payment
